do you know him?
ai, larry wright is energetic on his compound cans ...
and he set the tone for a rather good film comedy on human behaviour in 1990 ... i thought this film's opening scene did that too, just one year earlier, in quite a different way, 'cos when the heat is on, so is the beat (in between 0.38 and 4.25 you want to hit the button)...
The bucket drumming seems good - if only could I play it! Soon I too will have a proper internet connection. I hope ...
ReplyDeleteDidn't know him, but he's amazing!
ReplyDeleteYou should check out the opening to Jonatham Demme's Something Wild as well. Have you seen the drum circle movie, The Visitor starring Richard Jenkins: http://www.metacafe.com/watch/1233513/the_visitor_official_movie_clip_drum_circle/

hi n♥looks like I can't leave a short comment after all, though i always wanted to be able to! about the percussionist, i never did meet him when in ny, mabye its that i've been already in japan so long...about the r&b, it may be said to be 'typical', definitely a classic. but for me its a song I heart so i can't say it's typical. nothing is 'typical' when you love it , right?!♡J
