corner view ≈ {...}

in the last vendela vida i read, there is a phrase that captured my attention, in view of this week's cv.
·
'koray looked at the sky as yvonne followed his gaze. three clouds formed a row of dots like some ellipsis.'
·
in the context, i'm sure, it had its proper meaning, but in general too, we all know what is meant by {...}
·

·
in my mind's eye though, i saw these three clouds hanging, and thought i'd rustle up an image for the occasion. a little more daunting than i'd imagined. while the clouds picture bank is profusely filled with silly ones, there prooved to be few three dotted ones.

·
on the subject of clouds though. {now you got me talking...}
·
are you familar with the amanda filipacchi novel VAPOR?
·
in it, the protagonist carries a cloud in her handbag, and the excellent thing about it is, it all reads so plausibly!
·
how 'bout that for ...

  4. Handbag-sized clouds sounds good. That means they cannot take over the entire sky. Gotta leave some blue for us to gaze at.

  5. What a pity we don't have such a beautiful sky today, otherwise I'd go out at ONCE and catch a cloud for my handbag! But today our sky is just one tremendous cloud, and...well..I DO have a large handbag, but not THAT large, you know? ;oD

    Meanwhile I'm back from Paris, so drop in, I just started my slide show! ;o)
    Did you see me waving out of Thalys when I rushed through Belgium??

  6. Do you know the song that Carly Simon sings that says, "Clouds in my coffee"? Now I keep singing to myself, "Clouds in my handbag. Clouds in my handbag..."

  10. very nice cloud ellipses (and what an interesting illustration - almost a bit van gogh - perhaps it's the color choices?) and now all i can think of is the lines from a joni mitchell song:

    "I've looked at clouds from both sides now
    From up and down, and still somehow
    It's cloud illusions I recall
    I really don't know clouds at all"

  16. Nadine,
    Did I tell you how much I love your store? And your monogram?
    Don't ask me where I've been... I don't know, really. I'm with a new computer though. It's slowed me down a bit, still getting used to things.
    Your store. I have wanted to talk about your store. It's so wonderful and I am so excited for you. You did an amazing job with your craft, the photography, all of it. It's eye candy.
    The clouds...LOVELY...
    Greta has a theme, did you see?
