ghent TRACK - part I

"TRACK is a unique art experience in the public and semi public space of the city of Ghent. It offers surprising, enriching and unexpected encounters with the city, its history and its inhabitants and incites to reflect upon urban realities and the contemporary human condition in a broader sense. 41 international artists were invited to conceive new art works that are strongly rooted in the urban fabric of Ghent but link the local context with issues of global significance." more information on TRACK here

  1. Nadine, it's all so exciting seeing through your eyes! Ghent sounds like an interesting city to explore, somewhere I'd like to visit. Love the floating castle and that your ring is safely back with you. xo Carole

    1. true.
the books are on deep shelves, which helps, i'm sure.
but i fear they do get wet. or at least splashed upon.
but nevertheless, they looked pretty upbeat.

  4. I'm in love with the open library, though I'm a little too practical not to wonder about how humidity affects the books ...

  10. i am consumed with envy over that outdoor library/bookshop. and the concept of an entire city given over to art. and that gravestone, carved with roses. and the amazing artistry of a napkin, trapped, yet flying so bravely and beautifully in the summer breeze...

  12. Fascinating. You do have unusual opportunities over there.:>) So glad you got the ring back. I hate when I misplace a favorite piece of jewelry--always feel like a tiny chunk of me is missing.
