ode to refined sugar

i'm sorry. even better than the apprentice is the young apprentice. i don't want to be cutting youngsters short, but i chuckle each time a seventeen year old comes up with a 'i'm actually going to be very angry here'. it cracks me up too.

you may have derived, dear reader, i'm not talkin' 'bout the sweet substance of sugar, but about sacharine daddy alan sugar, himself. make no mistake, it's only the media that offered him on a bbc chop block to me, and i took a cut. but i've got to hand it to him. a man who started up business at sixteen, an adult listening attentively to what people across the table have (not) to say and who hands out personal and business advice with a certain je-ne-sais-quoi, acts just like superb entertainment to me.

  2. These reality shows can be really good and really fascinating or really bad and really boring. The few episodes that Ive managed to see I didnt mind at all and got into it. I might have to revisit it again in the holidays. :)
