the big black book haunts me, it has been
giving me grief. all of the loose snips and smidgens inside have been talking right back,
feasting their sorry selves on {unmistakable} urban language. in silent sighs i dare open the heaviest of them all. you know? sometimes all of this paraphernalia just weighs? down.
and got a tiny little book miracle in my mail box! who could ask for more?
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU so much, chère Nadine!
if one can call it filing... in a place where heart and head meet in a kind of symbiosis,...
ReplyDeletethan there are the card board banana boxes filled to the brim and opened now and then on a rainy day.
today the sun is shining, wishing you a sunny day too, big hug, xx
filling.......what IS THAT?
ReplyDeleteso fun to have a glimpse at yours
ReplyDeleteand then the lot of them
that would be something to have them all organized
i run into bits here and there
and in a basket every couple years gets a partial look at
so many memories
i like your idea of a book, of a filing system
Just don't ever trash them. Once, years ago, I felt my nostalgic library of my past life was becoming too heavy and I thought I was at a point to rid of it all. UGH! That is when I should of placed them in a box and put them in storage or sent them to mother's house or something but trashing...that was too final.
ReplyDeletei just don't!
ReplyDeletebut i'm always dreaming
about filling such beautiful
and many black books
like you do...
xoxo julia
i don't have an answer - i too debate the same issue back and forth!
ReplyDeletePS I'll be checking out your themes on Sundays when you have them, and hope to be able to join!
ReplyDeletei am completely in love with the photo of your notebooks!!! it makes me tremendously happy just to look at it. as for organizing... sigh...
ReplyDeletei have had very sad teenage years. many things got thrown away because they were too painful and there were not too many to start with, almost nothing from 15 to 20 years.
ReplyDeletethis post got me thinking about my twenties, which are going to end in seven or so months. should i sort through my stuff and put the twenties into a box - i don't know. my 30 doesn't seem such a milestone as my 20 was, and there are very few things to file. perhaps the main theme of the file would be how unromantic and practical i have become in the last ten years!
oh, and you have beautiful notebooks.
