corner view ≈ view on my street

for the longest time (all of two years), we had this evening view from our house, at the front side. i'm sad to say some 16 apartments-new-build now sits in front of heavenly beautiful natural theatre. i know it's there, we just can't reach it with the eye no more.... jane's corner view, francesca's hosting, kristin's theme.

  1. That's a gorgeous sky! So sad somebody decided to build an apartment block in front of it. And some would call that progress . . . Sad.

  3. Beautiful sky! I hate seeing these big buildings sprout up and block existing smaller homes. I see it happen here, especially where there is a beautiful view.

  9. Gorgeous sky - Mother Nature is a talented painter! We need to have a Corner View protest at your house against the new buildings. We'll all make big signs and chant until the people move out and we can demolish the buildings! It could be out first Corner View joint project!

  11. What a bummer you lost this view! It's breathtakingly awesome! But on the 'bright side' people are moving in and not deserting!:>)

  12. So sad. We lost our view of the channel when a highrise was put up.
Now I'm hiding that view with a dogwood tree we planted!

  14. I don't like it when they cover my view. Such was the case in Austin,TX. So many views I loved got taken away, it is all condo, condo, tall condos! Now I find myself in places where views do not change or won't for many years.
