corner view ≈ renewal

francesca was right, last week stating my diy intentions'd perfectly fit the bill in this week's theme. as i've already spilled the beans on this one, i will now officially unveil the second renewal project. jane's corner view, francesca's hosting, karyn's theme.

i've assembled mix'n'match coat hangers to be united for the first time in their lives.

sanding, painting, sanding and painting prompted the individual hangers into an ensemble they will not easily forget. neither will i!

having caused me enough pain already in the additional care, stubbornness and single mindedness department,  ....

·

.... i had to bring in a small deer's head for consolation,

that is also telling the temperature.

so i can honestly say,

we are now having 15 °C in the entrance hall way.

moderately mild for this month of march.

job done. right above the coat hangers i constructed a {presently still empty} shelf to rest frames upon, that'll probably need a redo. if it's not one thing....

the case of the foot stool {in other words the third project}, to be continued! actually; having taken up again small renovation finishing projects, i feel quite renewed. i have {spring} courage to go on! please find below the culprit who's been taking up most of my winter time. as you see it is now halfway, and i might just leave it at that. colourful enough as it is, no?

  1. gorgeous arlequine (it is carnival, isn't it?:)) blanket, Nadine!
i love the different hangers united, and the cute, funny deer's head. i also must add that I LOVE the gray fur coat! it would make anyone want to welcome winter! perhaps that's my problem with winter, i don't own a gray fur coat ...

  2. Oh wow Nadine - you are just so clever!! I am quite terrible with woodwork-type projects - though perhaps thinking that just becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy! And I love your patchwork quilt too. And your grey fur coat :-)

  7. I love your blanket! We are going to be doing some of the same renewal around here in the next couple of weeks. We need to get some hooks up for the kids back packs and we need some extra shelves in the pantry where we keep our food.
