corner view ≈ travel

i like to think i'm adventurous. from home. as with travel. one of the oldest labels on this blog has been travel, even more so on my previous blog (in flemish). i have a soft spot for the commodity. i do actually believe travel starts at home and awaits us afresh, every ordinary day. so when harry dan stanton mused upon his line "... just an ordinary trip down the grocery store was full of adventure ...in PARIS, TEXAS, i so knew what he meant.

i am definitely not your reckless traveler, too old for that. i've just as much traveled the world by visiting corner viewer's homesteads as i've literally moved about. and if nearby london is the only place i can go to from now on, i shall not complain. as a matter of fact... jane's corner view, francesca's hosting, theresa's theme.

  1. i too get that line about the trip to the grocery store (must watch that movie again), but i do aspire to adventures that are beyond the home-grocery store trip that i seem to be taking all the time! :)

  3. Each walk outside a travel, an adventure...no need to go far distances to have new experiences...and yesss, corner view is travelling around the world without even leaving home! I can tell you that our circumstances here increase my attention to the tiniest daily adventures...

  4. So true! When I had younger dogs, I would take them for long walks. It's amazing what you can find in your own neighborhood when you take the time to explore it.

  5. With my Frieda I love to walk in the neighborhood, and when I go on travel my Frieda is with me. And then is this a good travel for me. :)

    Hugs ♥

it's a great idea to visit other blogpeople and really meet them.
at this moment it's hard to travel for me too, but mostly because my daughter doesn't likes to go too far away!!

  9. you are a beautiful expression of that quote, every photo and post of yours seems to be filled with a story of a journey, and what intrigues me about you is that I never know if they are `actually` far away places or right outside your door, you imbue them all with the adventure in your heart♥

PS glad London is still on your destinations, looking forward to travel there to meet you one fine day!

  11. Paris Texas ... I saw this movie a long time ago ... I would have to see it again!
I think it's nice to virtually meet every week and to travel a bit with each other. The best would be to meet in real life...but that's another story ... ;)
