it's all in the moods

·
isn't it? it's all about how you feel, and when you feel it. the weather gods lend a hand or plain sabotage. they do the latter today, what with this gluey rain, but they've been okay on a number of occasions.
·

·
yet. loads of coffees and teas are being consumed, especially since hammer head set in as well, in the form of a january cold. january colds are the worst, because one isn't ready. then again, is one ever ready?

·
the brussels lace and costume museum closed an exhibition on 18th century corsets & co, on the last day of the previous year, and as i turned the corner of violet street, my eye caught the sight of a remembrance plaque, in honour of the poet verlaine. well, in honour. verlaine shot rimbaud on that spot, in 1873.

·
imagine. history on, let's face it, every street corner!
·
on how many stacked tomb stones do we live these days anyway?
·
which possibly {in}famous creature tickles your toes at night? ☻

  1. beautiful pictures! And everything so true what you wrote, especially about moods...keeps me busy these days. I'm going up and down again, like a rolarcoaster....I get tired of myself, not mention the people around me;-)
Hope you're feeling better and that your cold is almost gone.

  3. Yes, you understand moods. When the winter grey sets in I often feel grey inside. I hope your cold has let go of you!
My city is only 100 years old so I am not blessed with history on every corner.....sigh.

  4. My dearest Nadeschda,
I walk with you, Hon, over an old cobbled street... clip-clop of hooves in the ears and whicker. Beautiful time travel into 2013... costumes... pictures.

The wheel moves on... my kids will be back to school at Monday. What about your son?

About the dc... you gives me hints... but I miss the forest for the trees. I do some renovation in the castle... you on my mind. Trying to get ready...hahahah (hysterical)

    Get well, my dear friend.
    Send you love and hugs
    xo Ariane.

  5. Fascinating esp. the info I found on your link about Verlaine and Rimbaud. As for the laces and such, makes me think I ought to check out our Victorian Mansion's latest exhibit of clothing and such.
