zu hause, mit barbara

it is very nice indeed when one is invited into one’s home. barbara put me up for a few nights in her hometown of henstedt-ulzburg, outside hamburg. i spent an inspiring sojourn in barbara’s studio/guestroom. sharing someone’s life for a while can be so uplifting.

bee took me to the ostsee in grömitz, an idea she had carefully planned. what a luxury to be driven there! i hadn't experienced the strandkorb before, i felt a proper little tony curtis in it {unfortunately bar marilyn and the formidable jack}.

besides fun at the beach, the walk in the woods with barbara and dog yumi was a delight,

and the food would have pleased any lesser gourmand than myself. {throughout my holidays i had fish most days (not shown here) except for the obligatory curry wurst in berlin.}

thxs, bee, for your good care of this tiny belgian soul. more images of my stay here. hamburg coming up later this week.
