i stood in the thrift shop, groping underneath a christmas layed out table and stumbled upon mini x-mas baubles. like some twenty plastic bags, of which i brought home just three.
straightaway i fancied a garland with baubles, and started one yesterday, discovering fairly quickly time could easily grow into an issue.
which it did, so for now, i've clumsily hung a green strand over a kitchen shelf, and i started crocheting a string for the orangey baubles. i honestly have no idea whether all of my baubles will find a strung home. ☻
Oh I love the mini baubles, they are so cute, but in a really god way I mean that ;-) The colors are so beautiful, not so screamy like you see them nowadays. And I really love the orange one with that deer, it is perfect, leave it that way, please!

so pretty!
ReplyDeleteI had fully intended to draw something this time but holiday parties and package wrapping got the best of me. I like your little reindeer, and understand your dilemma. We decided not to open several boxes of decorations this year. It makes me a little sad, but variety is the spice of life, eh?
ReplyDeletein german I would say: das ist der hammer! in english: it is a doozie (?)!! I love it, I love it!!

Looooove xo Ariane.
your garlands are delightful. The colors you have in each photo resonate with me, too. Green and orange. yum. I would love to go thrifting in another country. it is social anthropology.
ReplyDeletehello, you! i adore tiny christmas baubles. i have a smallish collection, mostly given to me over the years by my mother, which hangs on my also smallish christmas tree. they are my favorites. i love the idea that you're crocheting a matching string for each garland!
