typical? oi, belgian fries i'd say, but i'm lacking the images (since notebook came back from manufacturer in the nude - meaning i've lost many images).
·
as a child i was very fond of apple sauce and sausages, but i don't seem to be making those these days.
·
i think i will have to show you an outtake from last monday. being invited to dinner always feels like a bit of a treat, especially after doing away with ghastly green all morning.
·
the food was delicious, and that is a typical feature of the performing cook. please forgive me for not submitting the recipe. i did simply indulge in this plate of food, no questions asked.☻

Dear woolf,
ReplyDeleteI'm getting hungry looking at your pics (not pigs!)...
Pretty plate.
Love,
Ariane.
This looks so delicious, but I just had my breakfast, still too early for this! ;o))
ReplyDeleteOh yum! I bet you enjoy going to this friend's place for dinner! How's that renovating going?? Hope it's nearly done.
ReplyDeleteI just woke up and I'd have this for breakfast!
ReplyDeleteI slept in this morning and your corner is my first stop. Oh boy, I am in trouble!! I now want a bake potatoe! Is that butter and parsley on yours? xo
ReplyDeleteI am drooling over here! It looks delish :)
ReplyDeleteWill work for food!
ReplyDeletedelicious looking ......now i'm hungry!!
ReplyDeleteha! there is no typical family dinner, for us, either. once upon a time, it was pasta... now more likely to be chicken soup. i think your meal looks delightful, and am happy to hear that you had a night out to rest and refresh. (i think that green hallway would give me nightmares, which is strange, because i rather like the color green.) i AM sorry to hear about your denuded computer, though... it's awful to lose all those lovely images :(
ReplyDeleteThat's a lovely treat - hope you have more of them :)
ReplyDeletesmakelijk to you too!
I hate to admit this, but the Belgian food I'm familiar with is waffles! And I don't know if those are truly Belgian or just what we call them here.
ReplyDeleteI hope the renovating is going well and that the green has disappeared under a lovely coat of primer.
Looks delicious.
ReplyDeleteMust try sausages with applesauce now :) You have so many delicious posts for me to catch up on. I have been bathing a cat, forcing myself to sweep and mop floors and stay generally physical in the hope that we don't go too much longer this way :)
ReplyDeleteAhhh, Nadine, you show picture of lucious food and do not identify them? What were you thinking?! What is in the first photo? It looks to me to be a macaroni type dish, but I'm not sure. Baked potatoes are next, right? Then what did she put on the chicken? Thyme? Surely you asked or could taste?;>)
ReplyDeleteWhatever it all is, it looks absolutely delicious. What wonderful friends you must have!
But then after tackling the 'ghastly green' monster, you certainly deserved a treat! I'm glad you got to. I used to enjoy fixing meals for friends. Sigh. Maybe some day again.
I meant rosemary--that's what it looks like to me.
ReplyDeleteI agree, being invited for dinner is such a treat.
ReplyDeleteI want to come to your house for dinner. Yummy!
ReplyDeletemiam miam ... and you have beautiful plates !!
ReplyDeleteThe yellow sauce on the potatoes seems delicious!
ReplyDeleteOh la la ! J'ai faim maintenant ;)
DeleteGreattttt
I'll do the clean up if you come over and cook for me!
ReplyDeleteSteak and baked potato? If not, it still took me back to my childhood. We ate steak, baked potato, and salad probably 2-3 times each week. It was my father's favorite dinner.
ReplyDeletethis looks soooo good and like it needs to be accompanied with some red wine (which i think i can spot on the first pic) :)
ReplyDeleteI'd ask nothing either - just enjoy!
