'a long, long time ago' (2005), son got all upset about his wild hair, and i said. right! off to the hairdresser's it is! little did we know, as we set off, how quickly we'd get served. i don't know why exactly i snapped photo 1 before we left. probably 'cause i've always loved him in long hairdo's whilest he has never liked it.
coming back home and noticing the camera lying about where we'd left it, i elbowed him and said, one after? son, still at a tender age of agreeing to motherly suggestions, succombed solemnly. [these days i have to beg for his permission to even mention him on a-here, so imagine his reaction to publishing a full frontal, or two?]
no, 't was alright, really. he gave me the eye, the one meaning, "those days are all in the past now, so, just go on ahead and leave me well ...". you know?
ps - remember the school hassle recently? to whom it may concern, but it's only fair to mention son did pass his exams. he worked hard and got result!
love it. would like to see what he looks like now...
ReplyDeletewhat a good idea you had! the picture is really awsome! And like Kylie I would like to see him now! à bientôt!
ReplyDeleteHe looks so mature in the second pic. Congrats on the exam!
ReplyDeleteHa, nice idea and great you (both) did it! Personally, I prefer the short cut on him, but he's a smart boy anyway! Tell him to show his actual freshly-examed look! ;o)
ReplyDeleteliving on the edge, mama! and he is handsome with either look.
ReplyDeleteI would have been by your side, love the long hair ! Excellent pictures !
ReplyDeleteAnd congrats to your son, time to have good hollidays now. Happy the drama is now really behind you.
Have a beautiful afternoon!
Good for him!!! Love the before-and-after (I like the long hair, too - but I'm a relic of the "hippie" days ;)
ReplyDeleteWe can get a clear view of his mischievous eyes now! He's cute either way, but I like long hair on young boys (within reason). I DON'T like when I can only see one eye and that barely, but that wasn't the case with your son.
ReplyDeleteI like the lamp--the swirly wood.
Cute new header, but I really liked the personality of the haunting one. ;-)
My before and after is running late --am working on it now.
Just me but I like the longer hair a lot better. Too many bad political associations with close crops!
ReplyDeleteKers....son is sooo handsome! He is smiling a little more after the summer shear...but he is handsome either way. we like long hair because...well..it's a throwback to our backinthedays!
ReplyDeleteGlad he still listens to mom some and did well on exams. Worries are not over I'm sure but alleviated for a while..bein' a mom...I know, I know!!believe me!!!! Perhaps that is why I have these bags starting under my eyes and this poof of white hair that stuck out the side of my head this mornin'! Auggghhh...where did that come from!♥♥♥
Oh, I love the long hairdo.
ReplyDeleteyes i prefer the longer hair on the boys too. on the other hand their heads are like velvet when it's short but i don't imagine he lets you rub his head much at this age either!
ReplyDeletecongratulations to him on his exams! (proud mama!)
I like it long and short! Oh I dread the day when the girls protest me posting about them!
ReplyDeleteI like the long hair on him - but that's because he looks so grown up without it, and that makes me think of my Top3 growing up and I am not ready for that yet.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the exams! That is the perfect beginning of a carefree summer vacation.
Great pictures! I like the colors, it's almost vintage! I prefer the longer hair too :)
ReplyDeleteGlad he agreed to be to it. Both styles look good to me. How is his hair now that it is 2011 - long or short? I enjoyed your CV today. Cheers~
ReplyDeleteCongrats to your son on his exams. We are in the mist of hair battles.
ReplyDeleteGreat pics, so glad he let you let us see him:))

ReplyDeleteHey Nadine, Congrats for the exams! (but there where no doubts about it!)
ReplyDeletehugs
What a handsome young man – before and after! With the perfect positioning of the photos, it looks as if the first could have photoshopped as to his hair and the clock to create the second one!
