a while ago, before we moved to our new, old house, we lived closer to the river, which cuts right through our small town. i find living in different areas appealing, since changing angles lead to quite different and unexpected hikes.

one of my favourite walks used to be alongside the river embankment, up a steep slope, cutting through small woods and ending up over the railway, in a pretty desolated open field.

on one of such walks, i took images in a soft toned, near black & white, which left ample room to the imagination, in the afterthought of mentioned itineray. come to {re}think of it, i might just hit that road again, this morning!

These are gorgeous shots. I LOVED the first one!
ReplyDeleteI went for colorless (and not real b&w photography) too!
ReplyDeleteThis is a nice walk. Unfortunately I have no flow and no lake near our home. But I would like to take walks.
ReplyDeleteHave a good day!

yes! wonderful! I love the second one! bonne journée!
ReplyDeleteYou take such beautiful photographs! Wow - I am so impressed. I love almost black and white with the slightest wash of colour - very atmospheric and evocative of evening walks. How did you get this effect?
ReplyDeletei like that! the colour detailes on the grey surroundings... bravo dear Woolf : )
ReplyDeletewow - i love the way the clouds look like they are in the river. beautiful spot xx
ReplyDeleteI love your river mirror Woolfy, could look at those clouds for ages...
ReplyDeleteI am totally in love with your photo's. beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI live right near a river and don't get out there too much - maybe because it's freezing!!
That's a beautiful walk , the clouds mirrored in the river make my heart melt, xx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! That first one is especially awesome! :>)
ReplyDeleteSuch a wonderful walk! Your pictures make me even hear some sounds: a gentle quacking of a duck in the background of no.1, some gentle rustling blades of grass in the wind in no.2 and some slightly crunching steps on gravel in no.3...
ReplyDelete(I'm in the mood now to imitate those sounds just as they did for audio dramas in the past...like knocking on coconut shells for riding horses, you know? Haha! We could do a slide show together, you run the diascope, I do the sounds!) :o))
Beautiful. The world is rather black and white this time of year.
ReplyDeleteAmazing photos!! Thanks. xo
ReplyDeleteit looks peaceful and wintery, in that (almost) black and white hue... love the clouds in the river (and are those flowers narcissus?)
ReplyDeleteDreamy photos!
