corner view ≈ passion

lessen / lessines
let's face it (and speaking for myself), when one surges to google up passion, then perhaps one isn't focusing? thus i refrain from quick reference, as i refrain from many automatic gestures these last couple of weeks, omitting cybernaughty internet, deflecting world wide webbing, dismissing stiffling bookfacin' and tweetin' stuff. bringing the actual bird back in, so to speak.

passionate flower in a's princes' garden
crawling back (it does feel like crawling, because letting go of too many impulses means slowing down. slowing) to a quiet pace, where passion roars from an explosion of words or a panoply of images only. just the one or two senses at a time, yeah? perhaps just, and only just, accompanied by a bite into something heavenly nice?

  1. You've confused me a bit, but then it's 2:30 AM, so that's easy to do. I'm not sure what you meant in that first paragraph and I don't understand the sign in the first photo. What exactly is it telling us to do? Forgive me if this is a "Duh!"

I love the passion flowers---gorgeous color and huge.
I'm not a sushi fan and esp. not when it looks like mushrooms are growing out of them. But then I'm just a simple small town girl in the rural midwest of the USA and sushi isn't a staple of menus around here.;>)
I have a feeling this corner view is going to be quite eclectic in the interpretaions---all the more interesting and fun!

  2. Eclectic... like an explosion of meanings. That's passion ;)

  3. I agree with you, sometimes there's just too much stimuli, almost a cacophony of them. But if I had to take one sense at a time, I'd go for thai food :)

  5. So true. How can I find my own passions if I only listen to the cacaphony of voices out there and never to the whisper inside ...

  6. Oooh sushi - it's been a long time for me!

I am always slowing down, 'cause otherwise I would never be able to connect to the world. Too much creative vibes, too little time.

I think that's why I'll never be a famous artist (not that I want to be, but a little bit of fame gets you a long way). Too many different things cooking up in my mind. Life is one big passion.

PS I got your lovely postcard - and have a fancy idea to integrate it in a piece of art. Just don't know when...

  7. We are bombarded with too much all the time. I think you have narrowed it down well.

  9. Dear, your words are so true, the flood of more or less important internet content much too often catches my mind (and time!), keeps me from concentrating on the essentials...but:
in fact your sushi picture made me pause for a moment, wondering if these mushrooms grew there or have just put there to confuse me? Well, at least it's no mold...! ;oD

  11. liked your passionate post - what could be more passionate than a poppy? and the "exploding" sushi. (yum!)

glad your youngster got home safe.

and yes, still "slow"-ing myself, but miss you too!

  14. I need to bring the actual bird back in. Now that I am leaving Indiana, I think I will be able too.

  15. yes, i think you have the right idea. it's good to step back, occasionally, and appreciate the world from a non-cyber point of view. and isn't sushi an elegant thing?

p.s. i LOVE that first photo... the shapes and colours (spelled your way, MUCH more interesting :)

  16. I love the top image, but it looks like such a loud place. I live next to a busy road, and I've taken to putting on my in-ear headphones without turning them on, just to keep some of the bombardement out.

And it has been too long since my last sushi... I should probably turn of the computer...
