going away for a few days, even when work related, always seems to sharpen my perception and fill up my senses, as opposed to letting the daily go by a little unnoticed. as the train makes its way through the june landscape, i am genuinely wondering what all is happening on a daily basis to those living in council houses and flats, on farms, in mansions, in a castle or two? because that’s what my eye catches and triggers my imagination, while looking forward to my daily cuppa of joy, which some may call addiction. [while i promise, it didn’t come from here.]. even more daily in spain.
my addiction is tea;)
ReplyDeletethank you for your very nice comment!
You are so right. We often take our 'daily' for granted, but we need to stay alert and notice how profound things can be even in our daily. I'm not a coffee drinker, but I do want my Diet Coke every day. ;-)
ReplyDeleteIts good to see beyond the daily routines and enjoy the small things and moments that make up our days.
ReplyDeleteI'm addicted too :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for passing by my blog and your nice comment.
Happy cup, happy day!
ReplyDeleteI always used to do the same when commuting to work: wondering about the daily lives of the unknown people behind all the windows, walls, and fences I'd go by. Enjoy your daily cuppa:)!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean! & I share your addiction :)
ReplyDeleteI almost miss commuting by train, such a different experience to being stuck travelling at what they refer to here as 'chlicky chlicky' pace in a traffic jam. Oh the small pleasures- that cup of coffee!!
ReplyDeleteI agree. Going away always helps me see my world from a new perspective. There's always some difference, albeit sometimes slight. I don't travel by train often, but I did enjoy my train travel in Europe. I'm addicted to my cuppa too.
ReplyDeletemmm. do i see a little chocolate on the side of that coffee? that's a daily pleasure for me.
ReplyDeletei love people watching here in nyc and imagining the lives of those who walk by.
lovely post...
ReplyDeletecoffee. that is my addiction :)
i do the exact same thing when i ride the train:)... happy weekend- and don´t work too hard;)
